Five Tips to Get Your Lexus Ready for the Fall

It won’t be long before the winter weather is upon us. Especially in Utah, you could wake up one morning and feel like it’s the middle of winter when winter hasn’t even started yet. For that reason, it’s important to get your Lexus prepped before that time comes. Here are five car care tips to get your Lexus ready for fall and winter.

Check Your Brakes and Tires
Inclement weather and unforeseen road conditions require good tires and brakes. The condition of your tires can play a big role in your vehicle’s handling and braking performance. Being able to stop is also equally important. That’s why it’s important to have your tires and brakes checked so you are safe on the road.

Check Your Lights
Every so often, walk around the outside of your car and check all of your lights. Make sure all of your lights are clean and replace any lights that aren’t working. It’s important that you can see what’s ahead of you as well as being visible to other drivers in bad weather conditions.

Check Your Windshield Wipers
Many people forget about their windshield wipers because they don’t use them daily. As fall and winter approach, you will see more rain and snow storms which means you will need to use your windshield wipers. Having worn or damaged wipers will reduce your visibility so it’s important to replace them when needed.

Check Your Battery
Nothing is worse than starting a car with a dead battery. In cold weather, your battery will need to use more power to perform. Even a weak battery won’t do. It might work for a while, but it can die at any time. Take some time to inspect and clean your battery from corrosion buildup. If it’s easier, take your battery to a trained technician who can replace it for you.

Get a Wax
If your car is your pride and joy (which it should be), think about giving it a wax. In Utah, there will be road salt everywhere and it can damage your vehicle’s exterior. Applying some wax to your Lexus will give it an extra barrier of protection and even enhance your car’s appearance.

Car safety is important, so make sure you are doing everything to keep you and your passengers safe. To ensure your Lexus is safe and reliable, make these maintenance tips a priority.
