2017 Lexus SUVs With the Best Safety Ratings

When purchasing a new vehicle, safety is a priority that is at the top of many peoples’ list. So, what’s the safest SUV you can buy? As you may know, auto safety is made up of many different criteria that are difficult to sort through and many of us do not have the time to do that research.

Lucky for us, we have organizations that test for automotive safety and then report their findings. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS), the 2017 Lexus RX and NX were on that list for the safest new crossovers and SUVs.

Click here to see the Lexus NX 200t inventory.

These beautiful luxury vehicles were ranked with the best safety ratings because they received the highest ratings in multiple safety categories that were recognized by the NHTSA and IIHS.

Think Green With a Hybrid from Larry H. Miller Lexus Murray

Did Earth Day inspire you to be a little more green? If so, purchasing a hybrid vehicle is a great place to start! Here at Larry H. Miller Lexus, we have 6 hybrid options to choose from.

CT Hybrid

There’s no better way to reduce your carbon footprint than with a hybrid hatchback. The CT Hybrid comes in two models: The CT 200h, and the CT 200h F Sport. Both have a 42 MPG combined EPA rating, and a sleek body style.

NX 300h FWD

With a class-leading 33 MPG combined EPA rating, the NX 300h gets incredible gas mileage for a crossover. The best part? You get a green vehicle without compromising the performance. The NX 300h touts a 2.0L turbocharged engine.

RX 450h

If you’re in the market for a small SUV, the RX 450h has a 30 MPG combined EPA rating. That’s 9 more MPG than the non-hybrid RX 350. This is all without sacrificing the 295 total system horsepower.

ES Hybrid

At a 8.1 second acceleration, it’s hard to believe that the ES Hybrid gets a 40 MPG combined EPA rating. It’s often difficult to find a vehicle that is both fast and eco-friendly, but the ES Hybrid is all in one.

GS 450h

If you’re looking for a luxurious sedan that can still handle the snowy trek to snowbird, the all-wheel drive GS 450h is the perfect fit. It can handle anything Mother Nature throws at it, and with a 31 MPG combined EPA rating too.

LS 600h L

The LS 600h L is the most luxurious of the hybrid line. It features AWD, a 438 total system horsepower, a 5.5 second acceleration and top of the line amenities. What’s even better is that you get all of these luxuries while still maintaining a 20 MPG combined EPA rating.
