Five Winter Driving Tips | Larry H. Miller Lexus Murray

With All-Weather Drive, Lexus drivers can feel more confident while driving conditions are less than ideal. To help you feel even more prepared, we compiled a list of winter driving tips to help keep you safe this season.

1.    Get your vehicle serviced before inclement weather hits. Have your entire vehicle checked throughly for leaks, bad worn hoses, or other needed parts, repairs and replacements. Click here to schedule and appointment.

2.     Keep your vehicle stocked for items you may need in an emergency including a snow shovel or broom, jumper cables, a flashlight, flares, blankets or an extra coat, cell phone charger, water, extra food and any necessary medicine.
   3. Speed limits are meant for dry roads. In inclement weather, be mindful of your speed and reduce it as visibility and roads worsen.

   4. Be cautious on bridges and overpasses as they are commonly the first areas to become icy.

   5. Maintain at least a half tank of gas during the winter season. This helps ensure you have a source of heat if you are stuck or stranded.
