Three Tips for Traveling With Your Dog in Your Lexus

Since you live in Utah, road tripping with your furry best friend is a must-do. The outdoors is a dog’s paradise, and it makes your road trip all the more fun, too. Traveling with your pet requires some extra planning but is totally worth it to have your buddy along for the ride. Before you load up your Lexus and head out, check out these five tips to ensure you both have a safe and fun trip.

Plan for breaks
While you may already know where you’re going, make sure your schedule allows for regular breaks. Your pet may need a few breaks to do some stretching and take care of their business. Breaks will also relieve any anxiety and allow them to walk around and experience the different environments. If time permits, research some dog parks along your route and plan for those visits.

Cover your seats
Regardless if your pet sheds a ton of hair or not, cover your seats with a seat cover or blankets/towels. Your Lexus will definitely thank you for that. You’ll want to make sure your vehicle’s interior is best protected from hair, dirt, and any messes made from your pets. Your luxury vehicle is a big investment, so keeping it in good shape is important.

Pack a dog bag
When vacationing, your dog will need their own bag too. Separating their items from yours will make it so much easier for you when you need to access something. Make a list of items they might need. To get you started, don’t forget food, bowls, toys, medication, towels, poop bags, treats, and plenty of water. You know your dog the best, so pack according to their needs.

Now that you’ve taken the time to prepare, your trip should be stress-free! As you should do before any long road trip, make a quick trip to our dealership to inspect your vehicle. After that, just sit back, relax, and enjoy the ride in the comfort of your Lexus.

The Handsome New 2019 Lexus ES Is Sure to Turn Heads

Lexus is known for their finely crafted luxury vehicles, and the new 2019 Lexus ES demonstrates this and so much more. Every year when a new vehicle releases, we all scour the internet looking to see what the new vehicle has. The seventh-generation ES does not disappoint. With unparalleled comfort, a striking design, and an exhilarating performance, here’s what you can expect from the new model.

What’s New?
As we mentioned earlier in the month, Amazon teamed up with Lexus to offer The Alexa Home-Smart-Home sweepstakes to celebrate Prime Day. One lucky winner won a new 2019 Lexus ES with equipped Alexa functionality—one of the first vehicles to offer Alexa as a feature. Along with this sweet smart feature, the new ES will be longer, lower, and wider. It also switched to the new Toyota GA-K global platform to give designers the flexibility to create an ES that was as visibly striking as it is enjoyable to drive.

Project Chief Designer, Yasuo Kajino, describes the look of the ES as “provocative elegance.” Kajino says, “The ES has always been an elegant luxury sedan. For this generation, we have added daring design elements that challenge the traditional expectations of buyers.”

To enhance the sportiness of the model, Lexus added a F Sport model to the ES for the first time. Customers will now have the option to choose between the standard ES 350, ES 300h, and ES 350 F Sport. The ES 350 and F Sport will have a 3.5-liter V-6 with 302 hp, 267 lb-ft of torque, and an eight speed transmission.

Now it’s time to talk about the hybrid. The ES 300h has also been improved. It delivers great fuel efficiency, performance, minimal emissions, and has been updated with a new fourth generation Hybrid Drive System. The all-new engine incorporates fast-burn combustion technology that makes it one of the most thermally efficient engines ever offered in Lexus. You’ll love this gas-saving machine since the EPA rates fuel economy at 43 mpg city, 45 mpg highway, and 44 mpg combined—better than last year’s model.

How excited are you about seeing this new model? It should be in our dealership some time next month in September 2018. If you are antsy about getting a new Lexus right now, feel free to check out our online inventory, and come take one of our luxury vehicles for a spin.

Tips to Help You Prepare for Your Next Epic Road Trip

Traveling on the road gives us that extra sense of freedom to go where we want at our convenience. Although a road trip can be fun, it’s important to make sure you are prepared for unforeseen events that can happen. To make your next trip stress-free, here are a few tips to help you prepare for your next epic adventure.

Have a plan
Although you don’t have to follow a strict time schedule when you’re driving, it’s still important to have a tentative schedule. You will want to plan ahead and know where you’re going and have an estimated time of arrival. Make sure to share this with at least one friend or family member in case something comes up.

Check your vehicle
Having a safe vehicle on your trip is something you definitely need. No one wants to be stressed out when something goes wrong in their car, so the best way to combat this is to take precautions to get your vehicle inspected before any trip. This includes getting an oil change if it’s almost time for your next one, checking your tire pressure, checking the fluids, and getting a car wash to make sure you have the best visibility while you’re on the road. Remember, safety comes first!

Create a playlist
A road trip is nothing without music. While you’re driving and taking in the scenery, music is something that can relax the soul or help you get some energy. A good mixture of jams would be ideal for a long road trip. Maybe some classical music in the morning and then some high-energy music later in the day. Whatever your mood, make sure to have some music that complements it. If you’re traveling with other people in the vehicle, make sure to take their requests, too! Make it a fun adventure and designate a DJ to control the music.

Be prepared for emergencies
No one wants to be in an emergency situation, but it’s better to be prepared than not. Make sure you have emergency equipment like an emergency first aid kit, emergency car tool kit, and extra food and drinks in case you get stranded somewhere.

Lastly, have fun! A road trip should be less stressful when you’re well prepared and safe.
